The official website of the Tenmaku no Jaadugar (Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia) television anime revealed the main cast, character visual (pictured above), and a promotional video on Wednesday. The anime series adapting Tomato Soup’s historical drama manga will premiere on TV Asahi and its 24 affiliates’ IMAnimation programming block and BS Asahi in July 2026.

Abel Góngora (Dandadan 2nd Season) directs with chief director Naoko Yamada (Heike Monogatari director) at Science SARU. Kanichi Katou (Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!) is handling the series composition and Kenichi Yoshida (Chikyuugai Shounen Shoujo) is designing the characters. Koushirou Hino is composing the music.
Tomato Soup launched the manga in Souffle magazine in September 2021 and began concurrent serialization in Mystery Bonita on March 6. Akita Shoten published the fifth volume in April 2025.
Yen Press licensed the manga in English in October 2024 and released the second volume on November 25. The third volume is planned for a July 28 release.
