‘Yoroi Shin Den Samurai Troopers Part 2’ Unveils Additional Cast, Theme Songs, First Promo

The official website of the Yoroi Shin Den Samurai Troopers television anime revealed additional cast, key visual (pictured), theme songs, and a promotional video for the second part on Monday. Part two is scheduled to premiere on July 7 at 11:30 p.m. on Tokyo MX, followed by Kansai TV and BS11.

Yashima no Sagume: Maaya Sakamoto (Fate/Apocrypha)

Inmei: Takehito Koyasu (Jujutsu Kaisen 2nd Season)

Gomei: Tomoaki Maeno (Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken)

Shimei: Aya Endou (Violet Evergarden)

Gaimei: Hiroshi Shirokuma (Overlord)

J-pop band Dannie May (Tsuihousha Shokudou e Youkoso!) is performing the opening theme “Bad Idenshi,” which is previewed in the promotional video below. Karanoah (Gachiakuta) performs the ending theme “Bakemon.”

Youichi Fujita (Gintama) is directing the anime at Sunrise. Shougo Mutou (Biohazard: Infinite Darkness) is handling the series composition and penning the script, and Yuuhei Murota (Tokidoki Bosotto Russia-go de Dereru Tonari no Alya-san) is designing the characters. Shuuji Katayama (Overlord) is composing the music.

The original television anime aired in 39 episodes from Spring 1998 to Winter 1989. Three original anime sequels were released, with the latest five-episode OVA released in 1991.

Hajime Yatate and Ryuuichi Hoshino began serializing a manga adaptation in Comic Bonbon in 1988. Kodansha published the second and final volume in 1989.
