‘Lv999 no Murabito’ Reveals Additional Staff, Ending Theme, Second Promo

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Koneko Hoshizuki’s Lv999 no Murabito (The Villager of Level 999) light novel revealed additional staff, a key visual (pictured), the ending theme, and first promotional video on Sunday. The anime series is scheduled to premiere on July 2 at 12:00 a.m. on TV Tokyo, followed by BS Fuji.

La prière members Nakuru Aitsuki and Itsuki Natsume are performing the opening theme “Not a Hero.” Musician Yukimura is performing the ending theme “HP.” Both theme songs are previewed in the second promo below.

Yoshinobu Kasai (180-Byou de Kimi no Mimi o Shiawase ni Dekiru ka?) is directing the anime at Brain’s Base, with Shinzou Fujita (Fumetsu no Anata e) handling the series composition. Kentarou Matsumoto (In/Spectre animation director) is designing the characters. Hiroshi Nakamura (Ansatsu Kyoushitsu) is composing the music.

Hoshizuki began penning the fantasy light novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in July 2015. Enterbrain began publishing the series in April 2016, featuring illustrations by Fuumi (Yatara to Sasshi no Ii Ore wa, Dokuzetsu Kuudere Bishoujo no Chiisana Dere mo Minogasazu ni Guigui Iku). The eighth and final volume went on sale on January 25, 2019.

Kenichi Iwamoto began drawing a manga adaptation in Kadokawa Shoten’s Comp Ace magazine in May 2017. Kadokawa has published the 20th volume on February 25.

Kadokawa began simulpublishing the manga in English on its BookWalker web service as The Level 999 Villager. in September 2025.
