The official website of the Sora wa Akai Kawa no Hotori (Red River) television anime revealed additional cast, staff, and a key visual (pictured right) on Thursday. The anime is scheduled to premiere on July 8 at 1:35 a.m. on NTV’s AnichU programming block, followed by BS-NTV.

Yoriko Tomita (Nige Jouzu no Wakagimi) is handling the series composition and Kenji Fujisaki (Blood Lad) is designing the characters. Yoshihisa Hirano (Hunter x Hunter (2011)) is composing the music.
Shinohara serialized the manga in Sho-Comi from January 1995 to January 2002. Shogakukan published the 28th and final volume in July 2002.
VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in February 2004 and published all 28 volumes from June 2004 to January 2010.
