Jin-Gu Oh (Ooi! Tonbo) is helming the anime at OLM. Mitsutaka Hirota (Kanojo, Okarishimasu) is handling the series composition. Chiaki Kurakazu (Pokemon (2023) animation director) and Rie Nishino (Nanatsu no Taizai: Kamigami no Gekirin) are designing the characters, while Takahiro Obata (Yakusoku no Neverland) is composing the music.
Amara began writing the fantasy story on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in September 2013. Takarajimasha began publishing the light novel in April 2016, with illustrations by Mai Okuma. The ninth volume was released in November 2025.
A manga adaptation by Izumi Sasaki began serializing on the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! Web in September 2017. The 11th volume was released in November 2025.
