The official X (formerly Twitter) account of the Sayonara Lara (Goodbye, Lara) original television anime unveiled additional cast, opening theme, and the second promotional video on Friday. The original anime series is scheduled to premiere in July 2026.

Makoto Ootsu: Mitsuaki Madono (Saiunkoku Monogatari)
Ema Ootsu: Nanae Sumitomo (Hotel Inhumans)
Rowan: Masaki Terasoma (Shiunji-ke no Kodomotachi)
Pop duo Ikimonogakari (Nanatsu no Taizai) is performing the opening theme “Sayonara Lara,” which is previewed in the promotional video below.
Takushi Koide (Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon episode director) is helming the anime at Kinema Citrus. Anna Kawahara is handling the series composition and Shiori Tani (Star Wars: Visions) is designing the characters. Yuma Yamaguchi (Shiguang Dailiren) is composing the music.
