The 12th and final episode of Mayonaka Heart Tune (Tune In to the Midnight Heart) ended with an announcement on Tuesday that a second season is in production. Masakuni Igarashi (Senryuu Shoujo) drew an illustration to commemorate the announcement (pictured).
Produced by Gekkou, the first season premiered on January 6. Crunchyroll simulcasted the anime with subtitles in multiple languages and an English dub.
The anime series adapts Igarashi’s showbiz-themed romantic comedy manga, which began in Weekly Shounen Magazine in September 2023. Kodansha published the 12th volume on March 17.
Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English in July 2024 and released the sixth volume on March 10. The seventh volume is planned for a May 5 release. The company also simulpublishes the manga on its K Manga app and website.
