‘Hell Mode 2nd Season’ Unveiled Supporting Cast Pair, Opening Theme, Main Promo

The official website of the Hell Mode: Yarikomizuki no Gamer wa Hai Settei no Isekai de Musou suru 2nd Season (Hell Mode: The Hardcore Gamer Dominates in Another World with Garbage Balancing Season 2) television anime unveiled an additional pair of cast, opening theme, and the main promotional video on Friday.

The second season adapting Hamuo’s action fantasy light novel will begin airing on Tokyo MX at 1:00 a.m. on July 4, followed by broadcasts on MBS, AT-X, and BS Nippon Television.

Voice actors Taketora (Jidou Hanbaiki ni Umarekawatta Ore wa Meikyuu wo Samayou) and Shinichiro Miki (Yuusha-kei ni Shosu) are joining the cast as Dverg and Theodosir, respectively.

Musical band Romanha Marshmallow is performing the opening theme “○✕△□,” which is previewed in the promotional video below.

Masato Tamagawa (Tensai Ouji no Akaji Kokka Saisei Jutsu) is directing the anime at Yokohama Animation Lab, with Daishirou Tanimura (Mahou Shoujo Magical Destroyers) handling the series composition. Kei Tsushima (Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu: Die Neue These) is designing the characters.

Misaki Tsuchida (The New Gate), Moyu Kanazaki, Junko Nakajima (Higeki no Genkyou to Naru Saikyou Gedou Last Boss Joou wa Tami no Tame ni Tsukushimasu.), Kanade Sakuma (Akuyaku Reijou nanode Last Boss wo Kattemimashita), Reiko Abe (Akuyaku Reijou Tensei Ojisan), Kaho Sawada (Tomodachi no Imouto ga Ore ni dake Uzai), Beau Damian (Ore wa Subete wo “Parry” suru), Tsugumi Tanaka (Rock wa Lady no Tashinami deshite), Shuichiro Fukuhiro (The Fable), and Shin Miki are composing the music.

Produced by Yokohama Animation Lab, the first season aired in 12 episodes in Winter 2026. Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime, with HIDIVE simulcasting the series with multiple subtitles.

Hamuo began writing the novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in November 2019. Earth Star Entertainment acquired the novel under its Earth Star Novel imprint in July 2020, featuring illustrations by Mo. The 13th volume went on sale on January 15, and the 14th volume is scheduled for release on July 15.

Enji Tetta began drawing a manga adaptation on the Comic Earth☆Star web magazine in October 2020. The 13th volume was released on January 9.

J-Novel Club licensed both the light novel and manga for digital release in English in July 2021 and July 2023, respectively. The 11th light novel volume went on sale in December 2025, and the 12th volume is scheduled for release on August 5. The tenth manga volume was released on April 29.
