Production company Bandai Namco Filmworks opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Kaeru Chouhoukiteki’s Majo to Youhei (Witch and Mercenary) light novel on Wednesday, revealing the main cast, staff, a teaser visual (pictured above), and teaser promo. The anime series will air on NTV in 2027.
Voice actors Taito Ban (Ore dake Level Up na Ken) and Saori Hayami (Spy x Family) are starring as Zig Crane and Siasha, respectively.

Chouhoukiteki began penning the action fantasy novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou in June 2021. Micro Magazine began publishing the light novel under its GCN Bunko imprint with illustrations by Bench Kanase in May 2023. The seventh volume went on sale on January 20. Majo to Youhei has a cumulative 1 million copies in circulation.
Makoto Miyagi began drawing a manga adaptation on the Magazine Pocket service in January 2024. Kodansha released the eighth volume on March 9.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the light novel in English in February 2024 and published the first part of the sixth volume on April 28. Kodansha publishes the manga digitally in English on its K Manga app and website.
Synopsis
