Publishing company TO Books announced a television anime adaptation of Kaede Nishikigi’s Game Sekai Tensei “Dankatsu”: Gamer wa “Dungeon Shuukatsu no Susume” wo “Hajime kara” Play suru (Reincarnation in the Game World Dankatsu: Game Addict Plays “Encouragement for Job Hunting in Dungeons” from a “New Game”) light novel on Wednesday, revealing an announcement visual (pictured above).
Nishikigi originally began penning the action fantasy novel on the Kakuyomu website in January 2021, followed by Shousetsuka ni Narou later that same month. TO Books began printing the light novel series in March 2022, featuring illustrations by Shuri. The 14th volume shipped in December 2025, with the 15th volume going on sale on March 15 (pictured right). The light novel has a cumulative 350,000 copies of its volumes in circulation, including digital editions.
A manga adaptation drawn by Hiroshi Asagi began serialization on the Corona EX website in September 2022. TO Books released the fifth volume on October 1 last year.
