The official website for the television anime adaptation of Oreco Tachibana’s Hotaru no Yomeiri (Firefly Wedding) manga revealed the main cast, additional staff, a teaser visual (pictured right), and teaser promotional video on Thursday. The anime series is scheduled to premiere on Fuji TV at 11.30 p.m. in October 2026.
Voice actresses Lynn (Bukiyou na Senpai.) and Kouki Uchiyama (Horimiya) are starring as Satoko Kirigaya and Shinpei Gotou, respectively.
Yuuko Kakihara (Ao no Hako) is handling the series composition and script, while NOGRID is composing the music.
Takahiro Kamei (Urusei Yatsura (2022)) is directing the anime at David Production. Yukiko Aikyou (Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso) is designing the characters.
Tachibana began drawing the historical romance manga on the MangaONE platform in January 2023. The 11th volume went on sale on February 19.
Comikey began publishing the series in English in June 2023. Viz Media licensed the series in May 2024. The fifth volume went on sale on January 7, with the sixth volume scheduled to be released on April 7.
