MAPPA Produces ‘Jimoto Saikou!’ Anime Adaptation

The 15th Anniversary Event of MAPPA announced an anime adaptation of usagi’s Jimoto Saikou! manga on Friday, revealing the main staff, song, teaser visual (pictured), and a promotional video. The anime is scheduled to premiere worldwide on Netflix.

usagi originally began serializing the comedy manga on X (formerly Twitter) in September 2020, later moving to an official series account in February 2021. Saizusha began publishing the series in 2021 and released the eighth e-book volume in August 2025.

Synopsis:

This is a story about girls that have never left their hometown, and despite the misfortunes they face, continue to say “My hometown is the best!” (Source: MU)
