Where to Buy Project Hail Mary in 4K and Blu-ray

by Awais

You can finally preorder a copy of Project Hail Mary on 4K and Blu-ray. Amazon has officially added listings for the movie, but no release date has been set.

These new listings arrived just a few days after a streaming release date was announced for June 18. The beloved adaptation of Andy Weir’s best-selling novel will be coming to MGM+, which is a relatively unknown streaming service. The film has been available to rent digitally since May, but if you don’t want to pay the rental fee or sign up for an MGM+ subscription, your best bet for watching at home is an actual physical copy.

What We Said in Our Review

IGN reviewed Project Hail Mary when it was first released in theaters back in March. We gave the film a solid 8 out of 10. Here’s a summary of what we thought about the movie:

“Thrilling, heartfelt, and hilarious, Project Hail Mary is a rollicking sci-fi blockbuster. Lord and Miller faithfully adapt Andy Weir’s novel, carrying forward the author’s celebration of science, teamwork, and bravery on a huge scale, bolstered by great performances from Ryan Gosling and James Ortiz and Greig Fraser’s fantastic work behind the camera. Some pacing issues inherent in closely adapting the novel’s structure do make for a somewhat rough landing, but through the lens of Grace and Rocky’s partnership being the real mission we want to see succeed, Project Hail Mary is a memorable celebration of how much we can accomplish when we work together.” – Tom Jorgensen
