‘Tai-Ari deshita.’ Unveils Supporting Cast, Main Promo

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Eri Ejima’s Tai-Ari deshita.: Ojou-sama wa Kakutou Game nante Shinai (Young Ladies Don’t Play Fighting Games) manga revealed supporting cast and the main promotional video on Friday. The anime was initially scheduled for last year but has been delayed to July 7 on AT-X, Tokyo MX, MBS and BS NTV.

Hana Ichinose: Yumiri Hanamori (Kao ni Denai Kashiwada-san to Kao ni Deru Oota-kun)

Gekidou: Nobuyuki Hiyama (Gachiakuta)

Cafe Au Lait: Youhei Azakami (Eris no Seihai)

Seshiro: Taku Yashiro (Chitose-kun wa Ramune Bin no Naka)

Japanese band HANABIE. (Momentary Lily) is performing the opening theme “Inochi Mijikashi Taisuru Otome yo,” with halca (Mono) performing the ending theme “NEW GAME.” Both are previewed in the promotional video below.

Shouta Ibata (Seijo no Maryoku wa Bannou desu) is directing the anime at Diomedéa. Wataru Watari (Isekai Yakkyoku) is handling the series composition and Mayuko Matsumoto (Chio-chan no Tsuugakuro) is designing the characters. Kana Hashiguchi (Otome Game Sekai wa Mob ni Kibishii Sekai desu) is composing the music.

The anime series adapts Eri Ejima’s school comedy manga, which began serializing in Monthly Comic Flapper in January 2020. Kadokawa published the tenth volume in December 2025.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English in 2021 and released the ninth volume on April 21.
