Crimson Desert, the open-world action RPG from Pearl Abyss, has a new challenge for Greymanes – a community challenge event that invites you all to commemorate your time in Pywel by sharing a video.
“Since Crimson Desert launched, we’ve loved seeing the many fun and incredible videos you’ve shared across community and social channels, capturing your adventures and unforgettable moments in Pywel,” CM Grimnir announced on YouTube. “Your creativity and remarkable gameplay continue to impress us, and we want to thank you once again for all your support.”
The mission, this time, is “pretty straightforward”: “Capture your own video in Crimson Desert on any theme you like. Simple as that!”
“Want to keep it short and snappy?” Grimnir added. “Go for a short-form video under one minute. Feeling a little more cinematic? Then submit a long-form video between one and three minutes. Your video. Your style. Your story.”
You can only use actual in-game footage, and need to be cautious of copyrighted music, too, but once you’re ready, upload it to the social media channel of your choice with those oh-so important hashtags, and submit it via the website before 12th July.
10 winners will receive “some awesome rewards”, including a “fully sponsored invitation to visit the Pearl Abyss Korea HQ” including round-trip airfare and three days / two nights accommodation. All 10 will also get a commemorative golden coin and “special Crimson Desert merch”.
We’re coming up on Crimson Desert’s three-month anniversary, and the game has continued to break sales records. Just yesterday, Pearl Abyss confirmed that the action RPG had sold over 6 million copies worldwide. The game’s most recent update arrived last week, adding new minigames, including a pinball minigame, of all things. The same patch also made tweaks to the Re-Blockade feature, added new mounts and pets, and fixed a host of bugs.
