Deal events like Prime Day are a great time to counteract a bit of the damage the RAM shortage and supply chain issues have caused to PC hardware prices in the last couple years. Especially if you’re in the market for Republic of Gamers gear. Through its ROG line, Asus has become a mainstay of the PC gaming space, and quite a few of its gaming laptops, monitors, and accessories are on sale for Prime Day. Thankfully, you won’t have wade through hundreds of Amazon listings to find some of the best deals, we went ahead and did that for you. Here’s a look at what we found.
Asus ROG gaming laptops
The Asus ROG Strix series of laptops has made a name for itself over the years as reliable and high-performing portable gaming rigs. One of the standout deals we found is a discount on the Asus ROG Strix G16, a compact powerhouse that features a 2.5K LED screen, 32GB of RAM, and a mobile version of the Nvidia RTX 5070 Ti GPU. Another one in the Strix series, the G18, is also on sale. It features a larger 18-inch display but isn’t quite as powerful as the discounted Strix G16. The G18 capable hardware though–you can spec it up to an AMD Ryzen 9 CPU, a 1TB SSD and an Nvidia RTX 5050 GPU. That’s as solid amount of horsepower, and you will definitely be able to run recent releases on its 1080p screen. Another ROG laptop we found on sale is the Asus ROG Flow Z13. It’s not as high-performing as its siblings here, but if you don’t mind a 13-inch display and you’re looking for something a little more everyday-carryable, it’s worth checking out.
