With the main game as popular as ever and a live-action movie adaptation winning big at the box office, Minecraft is keeping that momentum going with a new spin-off arriving soon. Preorders are now live for Minecraft Dungeons 2, and this sequel is aiming to offer a deeper experience when it launches in September. The sequel to 2020’s dungeon-crawler is a Minecraft-flavored take on ARPGs like Diablo, and the original game earned positive reviews when it was first released. GameSpot’s Minecraft Dungeons review scored the game a 7/10, remarking on how it expanded on the world of Minecraft with its goofy charm and rock-solid gameplay. In Minecraft Dungeons 2, it looks like the land is once again in chaos, and it’s up to a hero to save the day. Swapping a pickaxe for a sword, players will have to take on hordes of enemies, use craftable items to grow in power, and collect legendary gear.
August and September are shaping up to be very busy months as various games are looking to avoid being caught in the wake of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 in October and GTA 6 in November. Several big games are out that month, so if you’re looking to stock up on new releases, there’s a lot to look forward to. Some of the highlights in August are Beast of Reincarnation and Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition for the Switch 2, while September’s big releases include The Blood of Dawnwalker, Marvel’s Wolverine, and Control Resonant.
Once October rolls around, things will continue to heat up with Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve, Gears of War: E-Day, and Star Wars Galactic Racer in the first days of the month. Each game comes with preorder bonuses, and most of them will be available in various editions, so if you’re looking to see which one you should get, you can click through to see what’s on offer.
