With the main game as popular as ever and a live-action movie adaptation winning big at the box office, Minecraft is keeping that momentum going with a new spin-off arriving soon. Preorders are now live for Minecraft Dungeons 2, and this sequel is aiming to offer a deeper experience when it launches in September. It looks like only the physical Deluxe Edition is available to preorder at the MSRP of $50 on Xbox Series X, PS5, and Switch 2, while the day-one version available through Xbox Game Pass will be a standard release that doesn’t include any of the extra DLC.

The sequel to 2020’s dungeon-crawler is a Minecraft-flavored take on ARPGs like Diablo, and the original game earned positive reviews when it was first released. In Minecraft Dungeons 2, it looks like the land is once again in chaos, and it’s up to a hero to save the day.
