Marathon DualSense PS5 controller is $15 off Amazon and Walmart

The limited-edition design feels unique without being over-the-top

Buying a replacement or second controller for your game console can feel like buying tires for your car. Practically speaking, you can’t really do without them, but the cost will make you wince. Sony’s DualSense controllers for PlayStation 5 retail for $75 to $85, depending on the colorway. They don’t often see substantial discounts, but Marathon fans are in luck. Sony’s limited-edition DualSense commemorating the launch of Bungie’s new shooter launched just last month, but a couple retailers are already selling them for a cool $15 off.

Both Amazon and Walmart have the Marathon DualSense marked down to $69.68, an 18% discount from its usual $85 retail price. These limited-edition collab controller designs can be hit-and-miss, and plenty of them feature garish color palettes or ostentatious branding. This stylish Marathon number doesn’t fall into those traps.

The Marathon DualSense has a slick, industrial design with pops of tennis-ball green that calls to mind assembly instructions. The flourishes around the buttons and D-pad are subtle, yet cool. The game’s logo takes center stage on the touchpad, but it’s understated enough not to feel like embarrassing fanboy merch. It’s an accessory worthy of a game that employed a boutique creative agency to bring its aesthetic to life, years before launch. The name of the game is emblazoned on the back, but it’s otherwise very restrained in its branding. I don’t even play Marathon, and I want this controller.
