Developer Level-5 shared new details on a host of its upcoming games in a Level-5 Vision showcase. The live stream featured some long-awaited updates on games like Professor Layton and the World of Steam and the long-delayed Decapolice.
Level-5, the developer behind last year’s hit Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, kicked off the stream by acknowledging the rise of AI and saying that it has pushed the studio to raise its commitment to human craftsmanship. It’s a notable mission statement considering that Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino came under fire last year for making positive comments about AI’s future in game development.
From there, the stream was solely focused on giving some updates on Level-5’s upcoming games. Highlights included a new trailer for Professor Layton and the World of Steam, a mobile port of Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, and a very small sign of life for Decapolice. Here’s the full list of announcements from the stream.
Professor Layton and the World of Steam
We got an extensive new look at Professor Layton and the World of Steam, which Level-5 says is almost done developing. A new trailer showed off the setup of its mystery, which revolves around a phantom gunman and a kidnapped heiress, and gave us a glimpse at several puzzles. It’s still scheduled to release in 2026, but it doesn’t have a firm release date yet. It will also launch on PS5 and Windows PC alongside the previously announced Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 versions.
Decapolice
In a reel that gave some quick updates on Inazuma Eleven RE and Holy Horror Mansion, Level-5 finally showed a sign of life for its long-delayed Decapolice. The teaser trailer didn’t tell or show us much; it mostly just reaffirmed that the game is still in development, which is as good an update as any at this point.
Snack World Reloaded
Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl – Gold, a roguelike RPG released in 2018, is getting a full remake called Snack World Reloaded. It features revamped, diorama-like visuals and a new mode where you can play as Chup, the hero of the Snack World anime series. It doesn’t have a release date yet, but it will launch on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Windows PC.
Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time
Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, 2025’s surprise hit life sim, is coming to Android and iOS devices. It will feature both cross-play and cross-progression with the PC and console versions of the game. It will launch as a paid premium game and include the game’s DLC. It’s set to launch later this year.
Inzuma Eleven
We got a new trailer and tons of details for Inzuma Eleven: Cross, the latest game in Level-5’s soccer series. The juiciest piece of news, though, is that the mobile game will also launch on Nintendo Switch 2. Pre-registration for the mobile version is available now, and its full release is set for June. Inzuma Eleven: Victory Road is also getting a physical Nintendo Switch 2 release on June 11.
Yo-Kai Watch: Wibble Wobble
In a strange announcement, Level-5 revealed that it is adding a “sequel project to the Yo-Kai Watch series” inside of its mobile game Yo-Kai Watch: Wibble Wobble. The game-within-a-game is called The Great Detective Nekomata, and a trailer teased a story about a novelist and his cat solving mysteries together.
Pufflings: Journey Through a Fantasy World
Pufflings: Journey Through a Fantasy World is a new mobile game that’s being developed by Level-5 and NHN PlayArt. It’s a riff on Suika Game, but with cute animals instead of fruit. Level-5 says that it is planning to make animated films and merchandise around the game. It’s scheduled to release this winter.
