Where to find atacamite in Subnautica 2
Atacamite deposits look similar to quartz and titanium, but are darker. They appear in the area around the Alien Ruins (a region unlocked after you’ve investigated the Tadpole Pens) at a depth of 300 meters or below. You will need a sonic resonator to break the boulders.
Although it’s best to install the first depth module on your tadpole, so you don’t have to rely on swimming alone, you can park the tadpole at 250 meters and swim down to collect the atacamite. In that case, be sure to use equipment such as the advanced airtank or a rebreather.
You can use atacamite to craft mangalloy ingots at the processor. Together with one piece of titanium and one piece of troilite, it will take one piece of atacamite and 30 seconds to craft one mangalloy ingot.
Best atacamite farming location in Subnautica 2
The best atacamite farming spot in Subnautica 2 is 220 meters east of the Alien Ruins, at a depth of 300 meters. See the large alien wreck on the seabed? The sandy area around this location is littered with both quartz and atacamite deposits.
Should you need more atacamite, continue east to the nearby Angel Comb.
In the large crater below the massive alien structure (below the drop-shaped structure in the center), swim around the large purple root to find many more atacamite deposits.
