Voice actors Nobuhiko Okamoto (Kimetsu no Yaiba) and Kent Itou ([Oshi no Ko]) are joining the cast as Hagure Nekosaki and Yuu Innami, respectively.
Ato Nonaka (Fate/Zero episode director) is returning to direct at Studio Hibari. Yukie Sugawara (Overlord) is handling series composition and script. Ryouko Amisaki (Radiant 2nd Season) is designing the characters and Kohta Yamamoto (Mato Seihei no Slave) is composing the music.
Produced by Studio Hibari, the first season aired in 24 episodes from Summer 2025 to Fall 2025. Crunchyroll and Netflix simulcasted the anime with subtitles in multiple languages.
Urushibara began serializing the manga in Weekly Shounen Champion in June 2020. Akita Shoten published the 28th volume on February 6. Tougen Anki has a cumulative 5.5 million copies of its volumes in circulation.
Yen Press licensed the manga in English in March 2024 and published the fourth volume in November 2025, with the fifth volume planned for a May 26 release.
