Ryouichi Kuraya (Tsugumomo) is directing the anime and handling the series composition and script at Zero-G. Yoshiko Saitou (Kubo-san wa Mob wo Yurusanai) is designing the characters, while Johannes Nilsson (Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi) (Team-MAX) and Yasuharu Takanashi (Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu) (Team-MAX) are composing the music.
Naitou began penning the novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in December 2016. Kadokawa began publishing the novel with illustrations by Yasumo in October 2017 and released the 20th volume on February 28.
Yasuyuki Tsurugi began drawing a manga adaptation on the ComicWalker website in October 2017. Kadokawa published the 16th volume on March 9.
One Peace Books licensed the manga in English in September 2020 and published the 11th volume in November 2025, with the 12th volume planned for a June 23 release.
