Produced by animation studio C2C, the second season began airing in Fall 2024, with the first season also airing in 25 episodes in Fall 2023. Crunchyroll streamed both seasons with multiple subtitles and dubs.
Katarina began writing the story as a web novel, abbreviated as Shanfro, on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in May 2017. Ryousuke Fuji began drawing the manga adaptation in Weekly Shounen Magazine in July 2020. Kodansha published the 25th volume on January 16, with the 26th scheduled to be released on April 16.
Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English for digital release in November 2020 and in print in November 2021. The 20th volume went on sale on January 27, with the 21st set to go on sale on March 31.
