‘Sayonara Lara’ Announces Additional Staff

The Kadokawa Live Station stage at AnimeJapan 2026 revealed additional staff and a second key visual (pictured right) for the Sayonara Lara television anime on Saturday. The anime series will premiere in July 2026.

Takushi Koide (Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight assistant director) is helming the anime at Kinema Citrus. Anna Kawahara is handling the series composition and Shiori Tani (Star Wars: Visions) is designing the characters, while Yuma Yamaguchi (Link Click) is composing the music.

Sayonara Lara is based on The Little Mermaid and follows a mermaid who wishes to be loved by a human. After her death, she is reincarnated 200 years later in modern day Japan in Lake Biwa. She then learns to fit into the human world.
