Ryuto began penning the isekai sci-fi novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in February 2019. Kadokawa began printing the series under its Kadokawa Books label in July that year, featuring illustrations by Tetsuhiro Nabeshima (Inu to Hasami wa Tsukaiyou). The 16th volume went on sale in December 2025, with the 17th volume scheduled to be released on May 9. The light novel series has a cumulative 1.8 million copies of its volumes in circulation.
Shunichi Matsui began serializing a manga adaptation on the ComicWalker website (now KadoComi) in November 2019. Kadokawa published the 11th volume on March 23.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both the light novel and manga in English in December 2020 and February 2021, respectively. The 14th novel volume was released digitally on December 18, and physically on January 13. The 15th volume will be released digitally on April 30 and physically on May 26. The ninth manga volume went on sale last July, with the tenth volume planned for a March 31 release.
