Voice actresses Satomi Akesaka (Akame ga Kill!) and Mao Yabuki are joining the cast as Pity and Hai, respectively.
Katsuhisa Takiguchi (Helck) and Michiru Odaka (Class no Daikirai na Joshi to Kekkon suru Koto ni Natta.) is serving as the art designer.
Music group Vivarush (Tasuuketsu) is performing the opening theme “Jihankism.” VTuber FUWAMOCO is performing the ending theme “Mekurumeku Rendezvous.” Both theme songs are previewed in the first promotional video below.
Takashi Yamamoto (Onigiri) returns to direct the third season at Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ. Other returning staff include series composer Tatsuya Takahashi (Übel Blatt), character designer Naoki Yamauchi (Jidou Hanbaiki ni Umarekawatta Ore wa Meikyuu wo Samayou sub-character design) and Takahiro Sakai (Tonari no Kyuuketsuki-san), music composer Yuta Uraki (Megami “Isekai Tensei Nani ni Naritai desu ka” Ore “Yuusha no Rokkotsu de”) and Keita Takahashi (Ninja to Gokudou).
The anime adapts Hiru Kuma’s comedy fantasy light novel, which began on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in March 2016. Kadokawa began publishing the light novel with illustrations by Itsuwa Katou under its Sneaker Bunko imprint in August of that year. The fourth volume shipped in July 2025.
Kunieda began drawing a manga adaptation in Dengeki Daioh last August. Kadokawa released the second volume in March 2023.
Yen Press licensed both light novels and manga in English. The third and final volume of the light novel was released in December 2018. The manga’s second volume shipped in March 2024.
