Atekichi began penning the novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in February 2017. TO Books began publishing the series with illustrations by Yukiko in March 2020. The eighth volume went on sale in October 2025, with the ninth volume set for an April 1 release. The light novel has a cumulative 600,000 copies of its volumes in print.
Keiko originally began serializing a manga adaptation on the Piccoma website in March 2021 before transferring it to Comic Corona in May that year. TO Books plans to release the seventh volume on July 1.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both the light novel and manga in English in June 2024. The fifth novel volume was shipped on February 3, with the sixth scheduled to be released on June 9. The fifth manga volume was shipped on January 6, with the sixth scheduled to be released on May 5.
