‘Ao Ashi Season 2’ Reveals Main Staff, Teaser Promo for Fall 2026

The official website for the Ao Ashi television anime series revealed the main staff, teaser visual (pictured), and a teaser promotional video for the second season on Thursday. The anime sequel adapting Yuugo Kobayashi’s sports manga is scheduled to premiere on NHK-E on October 4.

Note: The staff denoted with the legend NEW are new in their respective roles.

The first season, produced by Production I.G, aired in 24 episodes in Spring 2022, roughly covering up to the 12th volume. Crunchyroll streamed the anime with multiple subtitles and dubs, and released it on two Blu-ray volumes in April and June 2023.

Kobayashi began drawing the manga based on Naohiko Ueno’s original draft in Big Comic Spirits in January 2015 and ended its seialization in June 2025. Shogakukan published the 40th and final volume in August 2025.
