Publishing company TO Books announced an anime adaptation of Bakufu Narayama’s Danzai sareta Akuyaku Reijou wa, Gyakkou shite Kanpeki na Akujo wo Mezasu (The Condemned Villainess Goes Back in Time and Aims to Become the Ultimate Villain) light novel on Friday, revealing an announcement visual (pictured above).
Narayama began penning the fantasy romance novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in November 2020. TO Books later acquired the series and began publishing it with illustrations by Saeu-chobap under its TO Books imprint in September 2021. The ninth volume was released in October 2025, with the tenth volume scheduled to go on sale on April 1.
Rato Kitaguni began drawing a manga adaptation on Corona EX website in May 2022. The seventh volume was released in October 2025, with the eighth volume scheduled to go on sale on April 1.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both the light novel and manga in English. The seventh light novel volume was released on March 17, while the eighth volume is scheduled for release on July 14. The fifth manga volume was published in October 2025, and the sixth volume also set for an April 21 release.
A stage play adaptation was announced in December 2024 and ran for four days at Shibuya’s CBGK Shibugeki in March 2025.
Synopsis
