You should be able to visit King George’s lodge again this summer
Hoppers was a big success for Pixar, earning $355 million at the box office and currently sitting among 2026’s five biggest box-office successes. The film, about a college student who transfers her consciousness into the body of a robotic beaver, Avatar-style, to protect a forest glade and its animal inhabitants, features zany chase sequences, a surprisingly scary villain, and a possible confirmation of fandom’s favorite Pixar theory. If your kids love all of the film’s cute critters or you want another chance to look for Easter eggs, you’re probably wondering when Hoppers will be available to watch at home. Here’s our best guess at when you’ll be able to host King George and the rest of the animal royalty in your living room.
When will Hoppers be available to rent or purchase digitally?
Disney typically waits about two months between theatrical and digital releases. Zootopia 2 hit theaters on Nov. 26, 2025 and got its digital release on Jan. 27, while Elio made its VOD debut on Aug. 19 after opening on June 20. That means Hoppers will probably swim to VOD in May.
When will Hoppers be available on Blu-ray/DVD?
Disney tends to wait three to four weeks between digital and physical releases. Zootopia 2 got its physical release on March 3, while Elio came out on 4K UHD, DVD, and Blu-ray on Sept. 9. That means you’ll probably see a special-features-packed Hoppers physical release in June.
When will Hoppers be available to stream on Disney Plus?
Let’s compare it to some major Disney kids’ films from 2025. Zootopia 2 launched on the streaming service on March 11, about four months after its Jan. 27 debut, while Elio arrived on Disney Plus on Sept. 17, about three months after its June theatrical release. Since Hoppers performed better at the box office than Elio but was not nearly as successful as Zootopia 2, expect Disney to split the difference. The film should be on Disney Plus by late June or early July.
