How to get and use Cabin Coins in Pragmata

by Awais

Pragmata‘s Cabin Coins might seem like a fluffy little add-on, but they’re quietly some of the most important items in the game. Cabin Coins let you fill out Cabin’s bingo cards at the Shelter, and doing that unlocks new items, costumes, lore, mods, and even weapons. However, despite their usefulness, the game doesn’t tell you how to get Cabin Coins.

Below, we explain how to get more Cabin Coins and how to use them.

Pragmata gives you three ways to earn Cabin Coins. You’ll find some in white and orange Safe Boxes scattered around each location. The blue ones, in our experience, only contain mods. The game doesn’t break down what kind of box is in each sector, but when you’re using the tram to travel, you can check the regional map to see how many boxes are left to track down in a given area.

You also get one Cabin Coin for every REM gift you give to Diana. REM data is the collectible type that resembles a holographic globe. Like with Safe Boxes, you can check the area map’s collectible breakdown to see how many bits of REM data are left to find. Pragmata‘s collectible list shows you where the path that leads you to the REM is. For example, in the first sector, you can see a piece of REM data in the initial area, but the log lists it in the third, since that’s where the hidden path that takes you to it is.

The third way to get Cabin Coins involves completing Cabin’s training simulator challenges. The first round of simulation scenarios unlocks as you progress through the story, and after the initial batch, you’ll have to find training simulation data scattered around certain maps. The collectible log also shows you which areas contain training simulation data, the same as with REM data.

Simulation challenges include combat situations, such as using a charge piercer to destroy lines of enemies, speed tests, and platforming challenges. They have a base clear requirement and two bonus requirements, and while many of them reward you with a Cabin Coin just for clearing the base requirement, some lock the coin behind one of the bonus challenges.

Once you have a Cabin Coin, speak to Cabin at the Shelter, and choose the “Stamp Club” option. Cabin presents you with a bingo card that has several tiles marked with a “?” and some with visible rewards. Claiming rewards (hidden and revealed) costs one Cabin Coin, and when you clear a set number of lines, you’ll receive additional rewards. These are visible at the top of the card and can include things such as hacking nodes, costumes for Hugh and Diana, and even mods and a weapon.

The mystery rewards are not random, so if you don’t like what you get, you can always exit the game, re-load, and try again.

Most Cabin cards have one row colored red and blocked off, and you’ll need to clear a sector’s red zone to open it. It’s worth the hassle. These blocked rows tend to have some of the most useful items up for grabs. Some sectors have multiple red zones, but you can hover over the blocked row to see which area’s zone it’s tied to.

Completing Cabin cards is useful, but not mandatory. You’re fine to just aim for the rewards you want and then ignore them, so don’t feel pressured to do every training simulation challenge and track down all the REM data unless you just want to.
