Actor Anya Taylor-Joy did not actually barf the first time she voiced Princess Peach for The Super Mario Bros. Movie. She recently clarified her earlier comments, saying she did in fact vomit when doing voice over for the first time, but not for Princess Peach.
She told Entertainment Tonight, “I never said it was Princess Peach. I said it was the first time I ever did voice acting.”
The confusion came from an interview with Seth Meyers prior to the release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Taylor-Joy recalled a story of a time when she threw up while doing voice acting, but in that interview, she never said it was when she voiced Peach. Despite that, the YouTube video from Meyers was titled, “Anya Taylor-Joy Threw Up the First Time She Voiced Princess Peach in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.”
