Apple Just Raised Prices on All of Its iPads, Get Them While They’re Still on Sale for Amazon Prime Day

by Awais

Apple is yet another company who can’t turn its face away from the effects of the AI juggernaut. Starting June 25, Apple raised prices on select iPads and MacBooks, effective immediately. The new suggested retail prices will be:

  • iPad from $449 (originally $349)
  • iPad Mini from $599 (originally $499)
  • iPad Air 11″ from $749 (originally $599)
  • iPad Air 13″ from $949 (originally $799)
  • iPad Pro 11″ from $1,199 (originally $999)
  • iPad Pro 13″ from $1,499 (originally $1,299)
  • There’s a silver lining here. Several iPad models are on sale right now at prices lower than the original MSRP on Amazon as part of its Prime Day Sale. Undoubtedly, with the news now all over the internet, on-sale iPads will be flying off the shelves. Also, today is also the last day of Amazon Prime Day so you definitely don’t want to hesitate.

These iPads Are Still on Sale for Prime Day Despite the Price Hike

    Prime Day ends today

Latest Apple iPad for $299 (New MSRP Is $449

    11th Gen Apple iPad (A16) 128GB

The latest Apple iPad just dropped to the lowest price of the year for Prime Day. Amazon is offering the 11th generation Apple iPad, featuring the A16 processor and 128GB storage, for just $299 with free shipping. That’s $50 off the original street price of $349 and $150 off its now-$449 price.

This year, we picked the standard iPad model as the best overall iPad. The standard iPad (not the Air, Mini, or Pro) offers a great display, snappy performance, and nearly all the benefits of iOS for $100 to $1,000 less than all other options. The new 11th generation model improves upon its predecessor with a more powerful A16 chip, a slightly larger 11″ display, and the base model now has double the internal storage.

Latest Apple iPad Air for $519.99 (New MSRP Is $749)

    Apple iPad Air 11" (M4) 128GB

    Apple iPad Air 11″ (M4) 128GB

Earlier this year, Apple released its 8th generation iPad Air tablet at a starting price of $599. The price has now gone up to $749. However, for Prime Day, Amazon has just dropped the price to $519.99, or $80 off MSRP. That matches the lowest price I’ve seen since its launch. The iPad Air M4 is the newest generation iPad Air released back in March of 2026. The biggest upgrade is the Apple M4 chip, which is about 20%-30% faster than the M3 chip found on the previous generation model. The iPad Air also supports Apple Intelligence.

Normally, most iPad updates are incremental CPU upgrades. Not with this update. Apple bumped the iPad Air’s memory by 50%, from 8GB to 12GB of RAM. That’s enough to run multiple resource-heavy apps, mult-task, and take advantange of processor-intenstive AI features better than before. In addition to increased memory, the iPad also has a brand new N1 wireless chip. For the first time, the iPad Air supports Wi-Fi 7, which offers wireless faster-than-gigabit networking speeds. The N1 chip also supports Bluetooth 6, which boasts better latency and power efficiency compared to Bluetooth 5.

Latest Apple iPad Mini 256GB for $499.99 (New MSRP Is $699)

Apple iPad Mini (A17 Pro) 256GB

Apple iPad Mini (A17 Pro) 256GB

For Prime Day, the upgraded 256GB iPad Mini is discounted to $499.99. That’s $100 less than the original street price of $599 and $200 less than the current $699. The diminutive Apple iPad Mini is the best choice for easy portability, and it’s actually a higher-end tablet than the standard iPad with a better display and more powerful processor.

The iPad Mini measures 7.7 inches by 5.3 inches, and is 0.23 inches thick. It weighs just 10 ounces. It’s not that much bigger or heavier than an iPhone 16 Plus. The current-generation model is equipped with an A17 Pro chip. The iPad Mini has an 8.3-inch, 2,266 x 1,488-pixel display with P3 Wide Color support and Apple’s True Tone feature that purports to adjust the display’s color temperature to match your surrounding lighting. Although the standard iPad screen is larger, it’s not as sharp as that of the iPad Mini, thanks to its higher pixel density, and doesn’t support wide color gamut. Also, the iPad Mini is Apple Intelligence-compatible, unlike the regular iPad.

Latest Apple iPad Pro Starting at $899 (New MSRP Is $1,199)

    Apple iPad Pro 11-Inch (M5) 256GB

    Apple iPad Pro 11-Inch (M5) 256GB

    Apple iPad Pro 13-Inch (M5) 512GB

    Apple iPad Pro 13-Inch (M5) 512GB

For Prime Day, you can pick up a new Apple iPad Pro 11″ tablet with the powerful M5 chip and 256GB of storage for just $899.99. That’s $100 off the original MSRP of $999 and $300 off its new $1,199 price. Alternatively, the 13″ model is down to $1,249.99. That’s $50 less than the original MSRP of $1,249 and $250 less than the new MSRP of $1,499.

The 2025 iPad Pro is currently best tablet on the market, iOS or otherwise, thanks to its M5 processor which is both more powerful and power efficient than its predecessor. It also offers 50% more RAM, faster storage speed, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 standards, and faster charging.

The iPad Pro M5 features a gorgeous tandem OLED panel. Tandem OLED is better than traditional OLED in two ways: 1) it’s far brighter, and 2) it’s less prone to burn-in. If you’re wondering why this technology hasn’t found its way into TVs, the answer is simply because it’s not cost-effective at larger sizes. The iPad can get away with it because the 11″ screen is much smaller, but that’s also a major reason why the iPad Pro is priced considerably higher than the other iPad models.
