by Awais

Amuse Creative Studio announced a television anime adaptation of illustrator Mika Pikazo’s Re:bel Robotica mixed-media franchise on Wednesday, revealing a teaser visual (pictured). The teaser promotional video will be revealed at the Anime Expo 2026 convention on July 4.

Illustrator Mika Pikazo, sci-fi novelist Ryou Yoshigami, and publishing company Arch are credited for the original concept, with Pikazo also handling the original character designs.

The project originally began as a self-published doujin work by Mika Pikazo, the prominent illustrator recognized for her character designs in Nintendo’s Fire Emblem Engage, at Summer Comiket 2017. The mixed-media franchise was officially launched in December 2019, with the launch of its official website. The web novel Episode #β One day., co-created with Psycho-Pass screenwriter Ryou Yoshigami, was released on the website from January to May 2020. Shinchosha later published two novels in September 2022, including Ryou Yoshigami’s Re:bel Robotica 0 and a standalone Re:bel Robotica novel by Gakuto Mikumo (Strike the Blood).

Pikazo is also best known as the character designer for the World Dai Star multimedia project. Additionally, she has designed popular VTubers, including Kaguya Luna and hololive’s Hakos Baelz.
