For movie lovers, no amount of crass commercialism and militant IP iteration can outweigh the curiosity of a summer movie season. We know we shouldn’t be excited for the 14th sequel to a thing we didn’t care much about the first time but we also want to know if maybe this time they got it right. Maybe it’s the heat affecting our brains. And with the excitement for a new slate of movies comes overpreparing for the tentpole season with an overindulgence in hype. We also love to read everything about them. (This isn’t just me, right?)
